Dara Goings practices exclusively in the area of Family and Matrimonial Law, representing clients in both the traditional litigation process and in various forms of Alternative Dispute Resolution including, Mediation and Collaborative Practice (http://www.ctmediators.org). As a Collaborative Attorney and Divorce Mediator, she offers divorcing individuals a non-adversarial alternative for resolving divorce and other family disputes respectfully.
Attorney Goings utilizes her background in Psychology-Based Human Relations to assist clients in navigating the sensitive and complex aspects of divorce including, child custody and parental access, child support and alimony, post-majority educational support and the distribution of income and assets. She works with individuals contemplating marriage by drafting prenuptial agreements and also works with spouses to draft post-nuptial agreements during the marriage. Attorney Goings further assists clients following a divorce or other final judgment in various enforcement and modification actions. She also donates her time providing mediation services through the Families in Transition Program at the Children’s Law Center of Connecticut.
Attorney Goings represents her clients in every Judicial District in Connecticut, and maintains offices both in Hartford and Stamford.
