Matthew J. Hoberman has broad experience representing secured and unsecured lenders with a particular emphasis on financing, development, construction, leasing and sale. He also practices in all areas of public and private corporate finance, tribal finance and development and business law. Mr. Hoberman represents foreign and domestic corporate, institutional individual and public owners, borrowers and lenders; public/private joint venturers and trade contractors in all types of acquisition, design and construction agreements, deal structuring and financing.

Representative transactions include documentation and syndication of construction, revolving credit and term loan financings in the hundreds of millions of dollars throughout the United States involving health care facilities, retail, office, gaming casinos, educational, hotel, multi-family and industrial projects.

Representing developers in connection with the permitting development and financing of suburban shopping centers including counseling clients on zoning and other land use issues.

Representing lenders and borrowers in asset based financial transactions.

Representing developers and institutional owners of real estate in the development and ownership of real estate including acquisition, disposition and leasing negotiation and documentation.

Mr. Hoberman lives in West Hartford, Connecticut with his wife, Dena, a pediatrician at Pioneer Valley Pediatrics, and their daughters.
